FAQs

Dry Lining questions

What's the difference between dry lining and plastering?

Dry lining uses sheets of plasterboard to create the wall or ceiling surface; plastering (wet plastering) applies plaster directly. Most dry-lined walls are then skimmed for a smooth finish.

Can you replace an old lath and plaster ceiling?

Yes. Sagging or cracked lath and plaster ceilings can be over-boarded or taken down and re-boarded, then skimmed for a new, flat ceiling.

Do you build stud walls?

Yes – new partitions to split rooms, create en-suites or box in pipework, finished ready to paint.
