Dot & Dab Plasterboarding in Leeds

Dot and dab (also called "dab and dot" or direct bonding) fixes plasterboard straight to brick or block walls using blobs of adhesive. It's the quickest way to get perfectly flat walls in older Leeds terraces and semis where the original plaster is crumbling or uneven.

FAQs

Dot & Dab questions

Is dot and dab better than re-plastering?

For badly uneven or crumbling walls it's often quicker, flatter and dries faster than traditional backing coats. For sound walls a straight skim is usually all you need – we'll advise honestly.

Can you use insulated plasterboard?

Yes. Thermal laminate boards can be dot and dabbed onto cold external walls to help reduce heat loss and condensation.

Can I hang things on dot and dab walls?

Yes – use cavity fixings for light items, or longer fixings into the masonry behind for heavy items like TVs and kitchen units.
